Sad Eyes 03:19
I put the washing in the machine, The cat she follows and I close the door, Before I know I press the button, The cat is turning round, With sad eyes, with sad eyes, She ponders at my motive, With sad eyes, with sad eyes, She ponders at my motive, she wonders if I’m evil. I take a walk unto a park bench,
I light a cigarette and throw the match, It lands on top of Sunday papers, that form a blanket for the tramp beneath, Soon everthing’s burning, he’s looking at me with, With sad eyes, with sad eyes, He ponders at my motive, With sad eyes, with sad eyes, He ponders at my motive, he wonders if I’m evil. I don’t mean it, all of this evil, it’s just chance, it just happens, But from your side, it certainly seems so cruel, and pre-meditated, So easy to mis-understand, so easy jumping to conclusions, What if you gain the upper hand, it’s your truth we’ll be following. I take a ride in my Jalopy, My favourite dog is sittin’ next to me, She leans across and whispers nothing, I am distracted ‘till I, I see the sad face of the old gentleman, Bouncing from my old bonnet, As he gracefully crumples onto the floor he’s looking at me with, With sad eyes, with sad eyes, He ponders at my motive, With sad eyes, with sad eyes, He ponders at my motive, he wonders if I’m evil. I don’t mean it, all of this evil, it’s just chance, it just happens, But from your side, it certainly seems so cruel, and pre-meditated, I own innocent eyes.

27 03:09
Young and beautiful, Just stay young and beautiful, Just say you’ll never age and you’ll never change, You’ll always remain 27. Young and beautiful, Just stay young and beautiful, Just say, Don’t be like the ones who just carry on What is there beyond 27? Older and uglier, Older and uglier, And you will age and you will change, You’ll never remain 27.

Adam & Steve 03:02
Take a look at all the wonder and the beauty, All around us as far as you and I see, Glossing over the ugliness in this world. What about the perfect baby what a beauty, Baby blue eyes, what a cutey! Glossing over those with deformities. What about Adam & Steve? If god made all then god made these, Along with children’s bone disease, And the pretty flowers. A banana what a miracle, So perfect it fits within our hand, oh oh so grand, oh halleluiah And the antelope, so beautiful if it wasn’t for the evil of the tiger, Oh how the devil spreads his evil breed. What’s the problem? Why can’t you just accept this? It’s a gift for everyone that submits, Would you rather embrace the eternal flame? Oh halleluiah! No need to shop around just take his hand, We are the one and only brand, All the others’ - cheap imitations - and try to fool ya.

We’re living on this planet, the planet of the apes, Although we try to rise above it, it’s a holy disgrace, So we behave like animals in the beautiful way that we do, But some morality from some bestsellers - not good enough for a zoo. And those who say “There must be more to life than this!” What’s wrong with you? We’re living and breathing in the greatest show on Earth, It’s wonderful, And not a little disgusting, All things great and appalling, No pain, no pleasure. Our men and all women, All should be free from superstition.

Gravity 03:56
Gravity has got a hold on me, Can’t say it always gets me down, ‘Cause when I’m spinning in a fairy big wheel, It pins me to the wall, Even when that Gravity, should really make me fall, So what’s that all about ay? Gravity is only a theory, Don’t believe it’s real, It’s a government conspiracy, I believe if I jump off, Off the top of a big block, I believe that I won’t drop, Up and away in relation to Sydney. Gravity (always pulls me down) makes it harder to carry anything at all, And no-one’s really heavy, it’s just that... damn you gravity! Why didn’t they make the world flat (bloody hills and mountains), Oh no! They always keep you down, Don’t think you quite understand the gravity of the situation. Gravity is only a theory, Don’t believe it’s real, It’s a government conspiracy, I believe if I jump off, Off the top of a big block, I believe that I won’t drop, Up and away in relation to Sydney, Oh who’s she? You’re talking through your.... Poor Sid, died for his beliefs, Oh there must be something, to make somebody...

Heaven 02:37
Bring me a chocolate bar, Make it both sweet and sharp, That’s what I want in my heaven, forever. Bring me a naked girl, Make her do anything, Make her bow down to me, I’m the King of my heaven. And it’ll never end and it’ll never end, And it’ll never end and it’ll never end, And it’ll never end, But maybe one day we’ll get bored of it. Bring me my favourite friend, We’ll have fun no end, He’ll do whatever I say and have no say in it. And it’ll never end and it’ll never end, And the angels say ‘Alleluiah!’ And it’ll never end and it’ll never end, And the angels say ‘Alleluiah!’ And it’ll never end, But maybe one day we’ll burn as well

It’s not easy being perfect, It’s not easy being me, Sometimes it’s kind of lonely, When you’re one of a kind, one of a kind, one of a kind. Will you praise, will you praise, will praise my beauty? Will you praise, will you praise me? It’s not easy when they ask you, Why on Earth I put them there? Why not make ‘em all in heaven, Well everybody needs, everybody needsm everybody needs, A little diversion, And you say Amen. Oh I don’t where I’d be without you and your constant brown-nosing.
8.
The devil’s coming down the ladder, The devil’s coming down to see, If I’ve been a good or a bad boy, But he won’t catch me, The devil don’t live in this world and he can’t catch me. The devil’s gonna throw me a party, But it won’t be no fault of mine, If some beauty takes advantage - the devil made me, It won’t be my fault making love - the devil made me, I’m finding myself at the crossroads, And there stands a bearded old man, He asks if my soul is for sale, He’s buying all the souls he can, While they’re still so low. The devil’s coming down the ladder, The devil’s coming down to see, If he’s made a good job intervening, but he didn’t make me, He’ll intervene if you let him, but he didn’t make me.

Look at the Emporer’s new clothes (you know I never did) Santa Claus is real. There’s your brother out in the street, He is wearing explosives, On his way to his private paradise, Not so private it seems, With the women and children dead. Do you want to sit idly by? Not say anything at all? Or perhaps you think you must believe? ‘Cause it’s written in a book, written in a book, A man said so you must believe it. There’s your sister, it’s her wedding day, She is only ten years old, Never wanted to, but to run away, She could end up in binbags. I never said it did I? It’s interpretation, Let’s take a little look, What’s written in the book, Which words should we ignore?

You called, I came, Pretend I’m your lover, Hand me down to the next in line, Oh honey you’ll be fine ‘till the next time, Feed your piggy bank up for another go. Take me for all that you paid for, I can make you believe anything at all, So you think you’re falling in love? I don’t pity you at all. All I have, Is good looking, I can turn you on just by going through.. I go through the motions, I’ll play with your dignity, I’ll strip it away, Then let you go. $1, 2.50, $5, $10, $20, $30, $40, $50, $60, $70, $80, $90, A hundred-dollar baby!

Love Is... 03:38
Manure likes roses, And I like roses, Red as a fresh cut wound, You don’t know what I’m capable of, I’ll send you a sample. And love is... What I say it is, You’ll be bound to me, It’s your destiny, I don’t care if you don’t see it, You’ll come round I know, From my gentle shovel blow. It’s just a precaution, You know how the public don’t like when you make a scene, And boiling you rabbits and glass in your sandwich, It’s all for your own good you see. And love is... What I say it is, You’ll be bound to me, Gagged and tied so neat, I don’t care if you don’t see it, You’ll come round I know, From my shovel blow You’ll come round I know, From my gentle shovel blow. Pretty soon you’ll be laid in my garden, Helping the flowers grow, So sweetly, oh so completely, One day I’ll rot next to you. And love is just what I say it is.

I happen to be the luckiest me, I know all things, must come to an end, There you’ll find me on the last train home, You can’t keep me from the last drop of summer wine. But being lucky is just a perspective, If you seek misfortune, soon you’ll be enrolled, In the college of unhappy circumstance, Sitting the good times out, Dancing the misery waltz. You won’t find me on the first train home, You can’t keep me from the last drop.. And people will say you can’t always be such a lucky B. Someday your Disney film life will disappear, But dear, don’t you know I’m the luckiest me. The luckiest me, I happen to be the luckiest me.

She tells the land what it is, And it tells her who she is, Nothing’s simple, Complexities, Lot’s of simple things - bundled. Stars is, stars is easy, people is hard. I’ve read books and things, I thought I knew a thing or two about the world and people, There’s always something new, Under the sun.

Wide Boy 04:53
Gordon’s a wide boy, he does anything he likes, Gordon’s a wide boy, stealing sweets from tiny tykes, Well you know they had it coming, they were looking at me funny, And if they could speak I’m sure they’d say ‘Oh Your Mom!’ Or something like that, with a two-fingered salute, Well anyway there’s not many people living on my street big enough for me to take on without being left in a pool of my own blood. Gordon’s a wide boy and no-one is phatter or batter than he in the hood called his street, He’s living in Cage Street. Gordon’s a wide boy, Gordon’s a wide boy, Praise him, ‘cause he knows what it’s like to be mighty. You can’t really blame him at all, He’s the product of his poverty, You can’t really blame him at all, Poordom takes away his morality, You can’t really blame him. Gordon’s a wide boy, he does anything he likes, Gordon’s a wide boy, but you’d never dare offend him, Never ever question, Always compliment the boy.
